From time to time you may have to block particular third parties from accessing your sites. There are a number of automatic bots that crawl the Internet, for instance, and create fake visits and site traffic. There are also spammers who leave links to shady websites as comments to website articles. This kind of things may drastically undermine your projects, because no one likes to visit a site with many hundreds of fake comments, also the increased website traffic from both spammers and bots can create high load on the web server in which your site is hosted, which may result in the site not functioning properly. One of the best solutions in cases like this is to block the IPs which produce the fake traffic, as a way to be sure that the visits to your Internet site are real.
